D-GROUP Student Covenant 2024-2025

Please carefully read and agree to the following commitments by signing below.

Covenants are due to the Student Ministry Staff by Wednesday, September 4.

I take my commitment to my relationship with Jesus Christ seriously. I am ready to deny myself, take up my cross, and follow Him—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I know this will not be easy. I cannot do it alone. Therefore, I will commit myself to be a part of a D-Group. As part of this group, I commit to:

Be Real

I will not say all is fine when it is not.

I will not attempt to "fake" my Christian walk.

I will not lie about the details of my life.

Be Accountable

I will invite those in my group into the important areas of my life.

I will give them the freedom to point out those things in my life which keep me from being all that Christ wants me to be.

I will do the same for them.

Be With God

I will have a consistent time with Him.

I will actively, regularly worship at FBC Tuscaloosa.

I will be ready to answer and ask, "what is God doing in your life?"

Be Here

I will make my D-GROUP meeting a top priority.

I will contact my leader(s) if a conflict arises.

I will consistent attend student and churchwide worship, realizing my role in the larger body of Christ.

Pray

I will pray regularly for God's presence in the lives of my group leaders and members.

I will pray regularly for God's presence and the devil's absence in TTOWNSTUDENTS.

I will pray about reproducing the discipleship process as I mature in my faith, to then leda peers as they grow in their faith.

If I consistently fail to keep one or more of these commitments, I will excuse myself from the group, or I will be asked to leave for the semester and I will return when I am able to follow through with the D-Group covenant.
