D-GROUP Leader Covenant 2024-2025

Please read carefully and agree to the following commitments by signing below.

Covenants are due to the Student Ministry Staff by Wednesday, September 4.

Be Real

I will live a Christ-like lifestyle, recognizing that my group members will look up to me for guidance and will often follow my example.

I will not say everything is fine when it is not.

I will not attempt to "fake" my Christian faith.

Be Accountable

I will help my students understand accountability.

I will give my students the freedom to call me out when I fall short of living for Christ.

I will expect them to do the same for each other.

I will do the same for them.

Be with God

I will have a consistent quiet time with Him.

I will actively, regularly worship at FBC Tuscaloosa - making it my home church.

I will be ready to ask and answer, "what is God doing in your life and teaching you?"

Be Ready

I will be prepared to lead the weekly meetings with my D-GROUP.

Be Here

I will make my weekly D-GROUP meetings a top priority.

I will contact my group members if a conflict arises and I must reschedule our meeting time.

I will attend D-GROUP leader meetings.

I will lead my D-GROUP for a minimum of one year for group continuity (Aug-May is a full year of D-GROUPS).

Pray

I will pray regularly for God's hand in the lives of my D-GROUP.

I will pray regularly for God's presence and the devil's absence in TTOWNSTUDENTS.

I will pray for the other D-GROUP leaders.

Communicate

I will keep the Student Ministry Staff informed about my group as needed.

I will communicate with parents regularly and effectively - understanding that parent communication is crucial to my group's spiritual well being and attendance.
